Short Story is a two-tone color-blocked sweater, knit a seamless modular sideways construction, starting with a provisional cast-on at the color-change to the right of the neckline, and worked towards the cuffs.
The hem is knit concurrently as a double-knit edge. The cuffs and neckline are finished with twisted ribbing.
Short Story has a casual fit that can be tailored to your preferences: With 8 body and sleeve circumferences, 8 lengths from cropped to tunic-length, and 3 neckline options to choose from, you can mix and match to create your dream sweater.
The exquisite blend of super-soft Merino, lustrous Silk, and exotic Baby Camel of “On Stage – Short Stories” by Nature’s Luxury makes the yarn used in this sweater extra squishy while having excellent stitch definition. Knit in two of the palette’s luscious shades, the sweater will be a wardrobe staple with a twist that you’ll want to wear again and again and again.
An accompanying video tutorial demonstrates the provisional cast-on, unraveling the provisional cast-on, folding the edges for the double-kit hems, and closing the side seams with a three-needle bind-off and Kitchener stitch.
Customize your size by combining any circumference, length and neckline option!
Finished Bust Circumference for circumferences 1 (2, 3, 4, 5)[6, 7, 8]:
97 (106, 117, 126, 137)[148, 157, 168] cm
38 (42, 46, 50, 54)[58, 62, 66]“
Finished measurements include positive ease: Pick a size that is about 10-15 cm / 4-6“ wider than your bust circumference (body measurement); less ease will result in a tighter-fitting sweater, more ease will result in a more over-sized sweater.
Finished Length (at center back) for lengths a (b, c, d, e)[f, g, h]:
40 (45, 50, 55, 60)[65, 70, 75] cm
15 ½ (17 ½, 19 ½, 21 ½, 23 ½)[25 ½, 27 ½, 29 ½]“
Neckline Circumference for options S / M / L:
46 / 54 / 68 cm
