Pearls & Stripes

This large modular shawl is full of texture and color play for an interesting & fun knit that will never get boring.

The main triangle is knit bottom-up in two-color pearl brioche, then stitches are picked up to work the remaining shawl top-down in stripes of garter stitch, one-color brioche and two-color stockinette brioche.

The double-layered border features a broken-rib pattern on one side and stockinette stripes on the other. The rolling top edge is finished with an i-cord border.

The yarn I used for this shawl design, WalkCollection’s Cottage Mohair, is an absolute delight: a fingering weight blend of Merino and Mohair, for a lightweight shawl that will keep you warm and that has just the lightest mohair fluff.
