20 sts / 42 rows = 10 cm / 4″ in Garter stitch
20 sts / 21 rows = 10 cm / 4″ in Brioche stitch
(after blocking)
2 sets of US 4–6 / 3.5–4.0 mm circular needles (or size needed to optain gauge and optimal drape), 80–100 cm / 32–40“ length
Optional: 2 DPNs in the same size
Tip: use circular needles with different cable lengths, and/or work with DPNs when the stitch count is low
tapestry needle, 4 stitch markers, and 1 removable stitch marker

You can use four colors for a 4-color version, one color twice for a 3-color version, or two colors twice for a two-color version.
The design works with a wide variety of colors and color combinations. Solid, semi-solid, and speckled yarn will all work well for this design, although I recommend using either only (semi-)solid colors or a combination of (semi-)solid and multi-colored yarn.
