Brioche with a Twist
Learn how to knit beautiful reversible cables in one- and two-color brioche!
The class explores the cabling technique in one- and two-color brioche stitch, both in an all-over brioche fabric and when combined with garter stitch.
Additionally, all special techniques needed for the class projects:
The Brioche Twist headband features graphic stockinette Brioche stripes and a cabled twist, knit in 2 colors of Aran weight yarn.
The Brioche Twist cowl is a bandana-style cowl with relaxed Brioche Cables, knit in 2 colors of DK weight yarn.
Skill level: Basic brioche comfort. This is an advanced brioche class. Please take one of the introductory brioche classes before taking this one!
Materials:
For the headband: Two colors of Worsted or Aran-weight yarn and matching circular needles or DPNs (e.g. US 6/4.0 mm), cable needle, tapestry needle, and locking stitch marker.
For the cowl: Two colors of DK weight yarn and matching circular needles or DPNs (e.g. US 6/4.0 mm), 1 skein of each color.
